Program Description

"The leaders of the future are ex-debaters" (Forbes, 2014). For those who commit to speech and debate, it offers a lifetime of benefits. Debate teaches how to persuade, how to present clearly and how to connect with an audience. These skills are exactly what future employers will be looking for in their young employees. That comfort of speaking in front of others is useful in so many aspects of life, from interviews to school presentations to discussions in seminars. Beyond the skills built while students are speaking, preparing for competition teaches critical thinking and research skills. It tests and builds that ability by enabling students to see both sides of the issue. We're thrilled to introduce our brand-new program designed exclusively for young minds aged 10-14: Kids Model United Nations (Kids MUN). This program aims to provide a fun, interactive, and educational experience that will empower our young debaters with skills in diplomacy, public speaking, and critical thinking. *Debate Club & Kids MUN (10-14 years) 🌍 Global Citizenship Learn about international diplomacy and global issues in a kid-friendly environment. 🎤 Public Speaking Enhance your public speaking skills through interactive games and activities. 📝 Research & Writing Become a junior detective as you research countries and draft mini position papers. 🤝 Teamwork & Collaboration Work together to draft resolutions and solve global problems. *Public Speaking Club (6-9 years) Is your child a natural storyteller, a budding leader, or simply eager to learn new skills? Our Public Speaking Club offers an 8-week program that is tailored for kids aged 6-9. We focus on developing self-confidence, boosting communication skills, and encouraging creative thinking. From storytelling to persuasive speaking, each week introduces a new facet of public speaking. We provide tailored, constructive feedback to help each child improve progressively. What Your Child Will Learn: 🎤 Confident Communication: Teach your kids the importance of clear and confident verbal communication. 📚 Expressive Vocabulary: Expand your child’s vocabulary and enable them to articulate their ideas more effectively. 👥 Engaging Body Language: A focus on non-verbal cues to complement verbal communication. 🤔 Persuasive Speaking: Equip your kids with the basics of convincing arguments. 🎭 Voice Modulation & Tone: Learn how different tones can affect the message being delivered.
